This is The Allin Burial Ground, dating from the Revolutionary War. You can find it at the intersection of Bay Sring Ave and Adams Ave in Barrington. It is also a short distance from the intersection of the East Bay Bike path and Bay Spring Ave. The container is a small and magnetic; bring your own pen. Parking by the side of the road is obvious.
Gen. Thomas Allin was considered a hero of the Revolution; he was also related to Richard Warren, a Mayflower passenger. Scipio Freeman, a freed slave of the family who also fought in the Revolution, is buried here as well. The oldest grave dates from 1719, and the newest from 1961. Frederick Marks, who died in 1961 is listed as having been born in 1860! History is all around us.
