When we first started Geocaching, the thrill of the hunt was enough to get the kids excited. Very soon, we realized we needed to bribe them with swag or the promise of a playground.
While we chased some caches at playgrounds, we realized how weird a single guy looked lurking near the playground, even if a geocacher! So plan your visit accordingly -- we rarely see kids at most of the playgrounds we visit -- and this cache is not on the equipment. We intended this to be a family friendly cache.
The streets in this neighborhood are named for Revolutionary War battles...but there is nothing revolutionary about the hiding of this cache. The park district properties officially close at dusk and dawn, but should be accessible in the dark if you are quick -- but the neighbors nearby will notice your flashlight. We encourage searching during park district hours.
