Geocache Description:

On the seaward up-island side of a rock sea wall located on San Juan Island Land Bank property.

These past few years with the help of the San Juan Island Land Bank, our access to additional hiking trails has become exceptional. This cache is located just outside of the Lime Kiln State Park area on Land Bank property. There is an old sea wall as part of what was left from the lime kiln operation years ago. The cache is hidden at the base of the wall. Be sure to monitor younger children as the high bank is a safe distance away but needs to be approached with caution. Watch out for slippery grass and moss during the rainy season. Obey all hazard signs keeping visitors away from the condemned structures. After logging your find, have a picnic, enjoy the view and perhaps say hello to our resident orca community.
