Geocache Description:

This cache will bring you to a fairly large picnic ground near Coal Creek Historical Village. There's some large, covered picnic tables, and lots of space for kids young and old to run around. You can find toilets and a kids playground nearby at the Coal Creek car park.

When going after the cache, stick to the main pathway up the hill. When placing the cache there was a fallen tree blocking the way, but easy enough to climb over. Much easier than scrambling directly up the bank from the picnic tables.

After doing and enjoying a couple of letterbox hybrids further north, we decided that Sth Gippsland was overdue for one of these cache types.

Inside the cache you will find a small stamp. THIS IS NOT A SWAP! For those of you who seek out these caches for the stamp collecting side of things, you can stamp your own book and return the stamp to the cache, and place an impression of your stamp in the logbook provided.

For those of you who don't bother with collecting stamps, then you can feel free to sign the log with a pen (BYO), or your own stamp, or your own sticker.

There are a few swaps in the container, but remember that the stamp is not a swap, and must be left with the cache.

It mightn't hurt to keep an eye out for snakes in the warmer months.
