Geocache Description:


The Bethel Baptist Church was organized in 1834 as Buck Creek Baptist Church. In 1836 the first building was built at this site and was renamed Bethel Baptist Church. Former Governor Lurleen Wallace attended church here; her parents are buried in the church cemetery.
