Welcome to the Bling Shelter Power Run
We decided that South Eastern NC needed a power trail! What better place to put one than this lovely game land. This Power Run has over 450 caches (with more to come), that are placed along the Holly Shelter game land roads. Most of the containers are small Tupper ware containers so you will need to bring your own pen. This is the wilderness so be on the lookout for animals, birds and hunters.
Hunters may be present during hunting season (Sept-Mar), and the roads can be a challenge when wet.
The gates are open from September 1 to April 1 but you can bike or hike the rest of the year…. You will want to enter at the gate near Topsail Baptist Church on Route 17 to start at #1. Most of the caches are hidden right off the main road or by landmarks, minimum bushwhacking is required.
