I have vague memories of this former shelter in Coonskin Park from when I was kid, but couldn’t find anybody that could remember anything about it or how it looked way back when. There’s still evidence of it, but it’s been gone for some time. If anybody remembers it or has any pictures of it, please post them.
I wanted to place this cache in Coonskin Park because I won it at the sMAGPI’s Meat and Greet last August (2012) at Coonskin’s Day Camp and thought it would be appropriate. This is my first cache placed, so I’ve copied frex3wv’s caches somewhat. I won my cache container right after he won his “9 10 11” one. Here’s the link for the park: http://www.kcprc.com/coonskin_park.htm . There are a lot of nice hiking trails throughout the park. There are several other geocaches in the park, too. You’re looking for a small camouflaged Tupperware container with room for some smaller swag and travel bugs. There's a couple of pencils, but you should BYOP. Also, I wanted to place this on my Dad’s birthday to honor his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking and would’ve enjoyed Geocaching. FTF prize will pay for one gallon of gas.
