Geocache Description:

Newbury Park Station is on the Hainault Loop section of the Central Line and is in Zone 4.

You are looking for a magnetic nano.

Newbury Park Station has two distinct feelings to it. From the road level is appears modern, dominated by Oliver Hill's award winning 1937 bus station roof, and from platform level, has the atmosphere more reminiscent of a country station.

Originally on the GER Woodford to Ilford branch line, known as the Fairlop Loop, it was transferred to London Underground operation in 1947. The last steam service ran on 29 November 1947, and the first electrified service from Central London via Gants Hill ran on 14 December 1947.

Note: Newbury Park station does not have step-free access. Works to provide step-free access were started, but abandoned in 2009 due to the economic recession.

The difficulty rating is because there is very heavy muggle traffic, especially during the rush hours. Maximum stealth required.

As with a lot of urban caches you’ll need to be sensitive of local residents and be aware of potential watchers (whether in homes or offices or via security cameras). However, if you are approached by either Police or Security Officers avoid acting suspiciously and explain what you are doing.
