Geocache Description:

The first of our caches hidden on a bridleway through Bushy Grove. Parking is at the given coordinates, please park considerately and don't obstruct the gates.

The first section of path is fairly level and firm, and at dryer times of year is suitable for pushchairs. After the first cache the path becomes narrower and in winter can become very muddy.

We chose to site a cache here because the tree cover in this part of the wood used to be very dense creating quite a spooky atmosphere, even in broad daylight. Unfortunately the wood was thinned considerably in the summer of 2017 so the spooky atmosphere is gone, but the problems with the GPS reception remain! We've tried to allow for this by giving what we consider to be a fairly explicit hint, but given the difficulty rating, we didn't want to give too much away. Happy hunting.

Please take care to replace the cache as you find it.

This cache has been placed with the kind permission of the Ernest Cook Trust.

Congratulations to Matt the Splatt for FTF
