Geocache Description:

Mindbending

This cache is part of the Hidden Hills Trail Series. For information on parking and hours see the information section at the bottom.

This is a three part 5 star puzzle cache. Going to the listed coordinates will not reveal the cache, but it will take you to the key to open this cache (see step 2).

To claim this cache you will have to solve the puzzle listed on this page as well as solving a puzzle at the listed coordinates. Both are needed to find and open the cache. If you have not signed the log your find will be deleted.

Step 1:
Solve this puzzle to find the coordinates to the cache at WP2. Note: Without solving the puzzle at WP1 you will not be able to open the cache and sign the log. Knowing the location is not enough.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

Due to the cache being destroyed many times the location has been moved. To find it simply add .013 to the N coordinate and subtract .012 from the W coordinate and please place it back out of sight and away from prying eyes so it can enjoy a much longer life. Thanks.

Step 2:
Go to the listed coordinates a.k.a. WP1 and find the container with the puzzle inside.
Do not destroy this part of the cache. To get the key to opening the cache you need to solve the puzzle. If you don't like puzzles don't ruin it for other cachers.
The first puzzle was just a warm-up to get you thinking. The real challenge is solving this puzzle. Once you have solved this puzzle take the key and head toward the cache. You may want to go to WP2 and then head toward WP1 to make sure someone is not in the process of solving this cache. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to spend at WP1. Most people will need awhile to solve this one.

Step 3:
After finding this homemade cache turn the key, slide the lid forward, lift the lid and sign the log. There is enough room in here for quite a bit of swag. To start I placed an assortment of toys donated by my kids. Enjoy the "treasure" as my kids call it, you've definitely earned it, and remember to return the key so the next geocacher can enjoy the geocache and remember to place it where you found it so the brush clearing machines don't steal the cache.

Information
There is a parking lot located at Hidden Hills Park. If you take the trail leading up through the park and cross the grass you will find the trailhead leading to all the caches in this series. Check posted times to make sure you are out of the park area by then. If you plan on being there later or earlier than the posted time just head a little further down the street to find another trailhead entrance leading to all the caches. This is in a wilderness area of Chino Hills and there is wildlife living up there. Take precautions and be respectful of your surroundings. This was there home first. That said the only wildlife I saw was some gorgeous hawks I saw flying around so don't be too scared to go after these caches.

First to solve gets $1.00.
