Geocache Description:

After regularly driving my husband to work around this area, I kind of thought that another cache was needed. The cache is a simple no frills cache in the obvious spot.

Edinburgh Parks was formerly land owned by the RAAF base, but in a State Government initiative the land has been sold to encourage businesses to expand their industrial operations into South Australia.

Spread across approximately 650 hectares, Edinburgh Parks is the largest industrial park in South Australia strategically located 25km north of the Adelaide CBD, between the Elizabeth and Salisbury town centres and close to major transport infrastructure.

It was split from the suburb of Salisbury in 1997 when the Department of Defence decided to rationalise the then "DSTO Salisbury" site and sell off about 70% of the site, and surrounding "Defence-owned" Crown land, to form the "Edinburgh Parks" industrial estate.
