Geocache Description:

Cornwall's first 100 plus cache series. There's a fair mix of footpaths and very minor roads - with quite a lot of up and down sections. Dogs should be no problem, buggies/prams and wheelchairs will struggle - lots. Some stunning views so bring a camera. There are several stiles on the way round.

Mr Choughly
The Choughly Saint's HALO Cache Series

It’s based on parts of “The Saints Way”, a circuit of some 22 miles, taking in coastline, moorland, a tor and a selection of delightful towns and villages - with many spots to stop for tea or if you’re that way inclined there’s a lovely selection of fine Cornish Pubs on the way round.

Cache Name HALO - St Julietta
Cache Comments According to legend, Julietta and her three-year old Cyricus had fled to avoid persecution for her beliefs as they had been identified as Christians. Julietta was tortured, and her three year old son, was killed by being thrown down some steps. Julietta did not weep. In anger, the governor then decreed that Julietta’s sides should be ripped apart with hooks, and then she was beheaded. Her body, along with that of Cyricus, was flung outside the city, on the heap of bodies belonging to criminals, but the two maids rescued the corpses of the mother and child and buried them in a nearby field. There are a few churches in England dedicated to Saint Cyricus (Quiricus)and Saint Julietta,in Cornwall, they can be found in the villages of Luxulyan and St Veep.
Please be careful when retrieving this cache, don't want you or the cache disappearing down the bank.
The tree cover could make coordinates a bit flakey!!
