Lindsay is Nuts is located on Lacey Avenue, just before the Old Mail Route road, in the middle of a large almond and other fruit growing region. Note that this is on public land, being the road reserve to either side of the old mail route through the growing region.
This agricultural region was established from bushland in the 1970's, when 20 growers jointly purchased the acreage and established infrastructure to grow and process Almonds, as well as a number of other crops such as Avocados and Oranges. Pooling of resources was done to enable the survival of the small producers through periods of low almond prices and reduced water allocations.
Take the time to read the information on the sign at the GZ and depending upon what time of year you are there you may see an impressive Almond Blossom show, planes chasing birds or the harvest taking place.
The cache container is camouflaged to match its surroundings. Please handle and replace with care. There is no long grass to navigate to find the GZ and parking is plentiful.
FTF can select a watch as their prize (brand new, works, warranty, etc!) along with the glory!
The Lindsay Larrikins have adopted this Geocache.
