Well, it's actually not the oak being eclipsed here but rather the sun. I just thought the title had a certain panache about it so artistic liberty was taken.
I've always been fascinated by how the physiology of the oak combines with physical elements to form a seemingly random woody gnarliness. Of course I realize that such perceived randomness in nature has almost without exception a beautiful orderliness to it, but since I'm a tendency towards disorder guy, I will proclaim that chaos is in the eye of the beholder.
