Geocache Description:

The Second Cache on the Spookdraai Hiking Trail giving cachers a fantastic view of Agulhas and the ocean.

The Trail starts and ends at the entrance to the town of L'Agulhas and is clearly marked with painted ghost signs.
If time is limited the whole route doesn't have to be walked.

A brochure containing info about sights and markers along the trail is obtainable from the information centre at the Lighthouse.

The Southernmost tip of Africa holds an attraction for exceptional for both residents and visitors to the Southern Tip.
The Spookdraai Hiking Trail can be completed comfortably in less than two hours. The route follows part of the coastline and also includes a short walk through the town, a climb over the hill and a stroll through the unique L'Agulhas limestone Fynbos, returning to the start of the trail at "Spookdraai" at the entrance to the town of L'Agulhas.

Limestone caves:
Wind and water not only flatten plants, but also have an eroding effect on limestone. The effects of wind erosion can clearly be seen at this cave, one of a number in the area. Caracal tracks are often visible here and the last leopard was seen here only 30 years ago. Also clearly evident here is the formation of the limestone ridge, consisting of a hard structure with soft material underneath.

Cache is a yoghurt container painted white, with quite a fair bit of trading items inside
