Geocache Description:

Welcome everyone to what we hope will be the first
of many Arkansas Challenge Events to come.
This year's Event will be held at Mt. Nebo State Park

The many trails and multiple access points make
this park the perfect place for this type of event.

We have reserved the large pavilion for the entire day and the park staff is very excited about this event. There are cabins and plenty of tent camping options available at the park. And of course there are plenty of hotels in the area.

Preregistration IS Required
for the competitive challenge.
Please visit the
Official 1st annual Arkansas Challenge
website to get your teams signed up.

Planned activities:
8:30 am Saturday morning - Registration. Pick up Geo Bingo, GPS Accuracy, and other items at sigin table.
Pathtag and geocoin swap.
9:30 am - Briefing and coordinate download. All competitors must be registered and at pavilion by this time.
10am (or when downloads are complete) - Scorecards will be handed out and competiton begins.
2pm sharp - Competition concludes. There will be time penalties for late returns so plan accordingly.
4pm - Awards ceremony and wrap up.

Many of you may ask just what is a challenge event. Well the simple explanation is as follows: A certain number of temporary caches will be placed among the many trails of the state park. Each cache will be worth a a certain number of points depending on the terrain and difficulty rating of each. Participants will have a predetermined amount of time to find as many caches as possible. The team or individual with the highest score will be the winner.

Please visit the Official 1st annual Arkansas Challenge
website for the official rules and to get signed up to compete.
Stay tuned for more info coming soon. This should be a very fun weekend.

For those not wishing to participate in the competitive portion of the challenge there are lots of caches in the park and the surrounding areas.

Don't forget about the other events happening this weekend:
