A potential cache and dash just off the A77 with some historical information on the village of Fenwick. The cache is a small (about 60mm dialmeter and the same tall) cyclindrical container covered in camo tape and contains the log, a pencil and a couple of swaps. Please drive carefully through the village.
The Parliament Wall is a historic location in the village of Fenwick where the village weavers used to hold clandestine meetings at a time when public gatherings were illegal. These meetings led to the establishment of the first cooperative for which there are full records. The Parliament Wall has recently been recently restored by the Weavers Association and a plaque explains the history of the site. There are also a number of other small plaques mounted on properties in the village providing more insight into the period of local history. Additional waypoints will be provided at a later date when they have all been located and tagged. The cache is easily accessed from the public footpath and there is plenty of space to park on the road but please consider other road users and the village residents when choosing your spot. The cache should also accessible by disabled geocachers as there is a good tarmac footpath. Some stealth may be necessary as the GZ is in full view and although the village is generally quiet it is surprising who is may be watching!
