Geocache Description:

A cache to honor radioman's work

The facility to the east of the parking lot where the cache is hiding contains the City of Sunrise's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and 9-1-1 Dispatch Center.


Just before Radioman84 had a massive stroke in July 2011 he had completed the installation of the emergency communications system (two-way radio system) for the city, located in the nearby building. He had his stroke shortly after the building had its Grand Opening celebration and he never really got to see the radio system in action.

We hid this cache to honor Radioman's work here.
