Groundspeak recently released their Geocaching Challenges. In my opinion this was a
poor man's attempt to resurrect virtuals without placing any burden
on the reviewers. The Challenges soon became a farce, with folks
getting finds for eating hot wings, kissing frogs, etc. I decided
early on that these "challenges" were not going to be part of my
geocaching experience.
So this cache -- an incredibly easy park-and-grab -- WAS going
to be a Challenge cache -- not to be confused with Geocaching
Challenges -- for anyone who had NOT completed a Geocaching
Challenge -- not to be confused with a Challenge cache. Confused
yet?
But that concept ran afoul of the guidelines, so I decided to
just make it into a park-and-grab. With a bonus. And the bonus --
if you choose to accept the bonus -- is that anyone who has NOT
completed a Geocaching Challenge can log this cache a second time.
Be warned that I reserve the right to check profile pages in the
future, and if I see a completed Geocaching Challenge I will delete
the bonus find.
