Geocache Description:

Kelsey Park is in Beckenham where there are plenty of shops and eating places. There is ample street parking nearby and there are several entrances to the park.

The place is wheelchair friendly and has good paths although there is plenty of mud to be found if you have young children or dogs! The park closes at dusk throughout the year.

Kelsey Park, with its lakes, wildlife, flower beds, spectacular herbaceous border and over 100 kinds of trees has the river Beck runnning through it (rising in Springpark Woods in West Wickham) and continuing on its way through to Beckenham Place Park. It is a haven for wildlife and over 65 species of birds have been recorded. There is a heronry on the larger island where over 30 pairs of grey herons successfully nest each year, making it probably the easiest place to see nesting herons in the south east of England. Little Egrets were noted this year too.

The toilets have baby changing facilities. One toilet is for the disabled which is accessible with a radar key, (provided by the café).

You are looking for a 35mm camo'd flm pot which contains a log book only.

At N51 23.956 W000 01.288 which is a point on the path (on side of lake where playground is) you will see a fascinating sculpture in the lake. It is made of coloured metallic wire and shaped into a beautiful Kingfisher and is sitting on a natural log.
