Lov za tem zakladom vas bo popeljal med vinogradi po stopnicah na Kalvarijo nad Mariborom.
Vse tocke zaklada lahko najdete tudi brez koordinat, z lepim sprehodom od parkirišca do vrha.
Hunt for this cache will take you among the vineyards, up the stairs to Calvary hill over Maribor.
You can do all the stages even without the coordinates, with a nice walk from parking area to the top.
Pot vas bo vodila skozi vinograde po stopnicah na Kalvarijo, kjer se vam odpre eden najlepših pogledov na mesto, na gozdnat hrbet Pohorja na jugu, na Dravsko polje in Slovenske gorice na vzhodu, na zahodu pa na Kozjak ter dolino reke Drave, ki tukaj pritece med Pohorjem in Kobanskim na Dravsko polje. Omenjene stopnice so bile pred kratkim obnovljene in so priljubljeno sprehajalisce za staro in mlado.
Po iskanju zaklada si lahko nekaj 100 metrov vzhodneje, na vrhu 375 m visokega mestnega grica ogledate cerkev sv. Barbare, ki so jo leta 1683 Mariborcani zgradili v zahvalo za prenehanje kuge, ki je neusmiljeno tolkla po mestu.
The route will lead you among the vineyards up the stairs where you will get one of the most beautiful views on the city, with the forest background of Pohorje mountain to the south, the plain of Dravsko polje and hills of Slovenske gorice to the east, and in the west a view of Kozjak and the valley of the river Drava, which at this point flows between Pohorje and Kobansko into the plain of Dravsko polje. This path is a very popular place for walks among the people of Maribor.
Later on, couple of 100 meters due east, on top of the 375 metre high town hill, you can visit the Church of St Barbara, which was built in the year 1683 by the people of Maribor in gratitude for the cessation of the plague, which unmercifully hit the town.
