SLO: Slomškov trg - Stolna cerkev

Ob obisku Slomškovega trga si vsekakor morate ogledati mariborsko Stolno cerkev, katere nastanek in nadaljnji razvoj sta mestu prinesla dodatni kulturni zagon in uveljavitev. V 12. stoletju je bila zgrajena kot romanska stavba, danes pa kaže gotsko obliko z dolgim korom iz 14. stoletja in osrednjo cerkveno ladjo iz 15. stoletja.

ENG: Slomskov trg square - the Cathedral

One of the most charming squares in the city can be found in the western part of the old town core. In the square stands the Cathedral and closely a statue of Bishop Anton Martin Slomšek, by these two monuments is a park with a pool and a small statue of Korlek. The square is made even more attractive by the mighty buildings that surrounding it including: the Rectorate of the University of Maribor, the Slovene National Theatre and the building of the main Maribor Post office.

DEU: Platz Slomskov trg - Domkirche

Einer der bezauberndsten Plätze in der Stadt befindet sich im westlichen Teil des alten Stadtkerns. Auf dem Platz stehen die Domkirche Stolna cerkev und die Statue des Bischofs Anton Martin Slomšek, daneben breitet sich der Park mit dem Becken und der kleinen Statue von Korlek aus. Noch anziehender machen ihn die gewaltigen Gebäude, die ihn umgeben: das Gebäude der Universität in Maribor, das Theater Slovensko narodno gledališce und die Post Maribor.
