キャッシュの正面にあるレンガ造りの建物は約120年前に作られた日本初の商業陽水力発電所です。
この発電所のおかげで日本で初めて電車が京都に走りました。
この発電に使っている水は琵琶湖から琵琶湖疏水を流れてきた水で発電しています。
