Da Barber Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

007 and the PI: Mrs. Holmes passed away and her relatives decided to sell the building. In so doing, they booted out Dennis "Da Barber" Davenport. He is now looking for a new place where "Da Barber II" will rise again.

It has been a fun run in W. Oakland but there is no sense bringing cachers here when the place is closed down.

Bye for now.

Geocache Description:

This is a most interesting barber pole. Whereas most revolve, this one is attached to the wall.

This barber pole was installed by Mr. Martin Holmes back in the 1940s and is maintained by Eddie Mae Holmes (his daughter) and Dennis Davenport. Look through the window and you will see Dennis and Eddie Mae plying their trade and possibly even yours truly or Spongehead getting a cut.

Congratulations to Jellis on the FTF at the crack of dawn. A tip of the hat to Olivia Noelle for her find on Da Barber. Glad to see you on this side of the Bay.
