Sorry this is not more creative, but this was a quickly placed
cache after having found another cache nearby. We looked down the
road and decided to take a drive to see what we could see. First,
we noticed all the mistletoe in the trees. Then, as we drove along,
we noticed several hawks. At least one was a redtail. We could not
readily identify the others.
We enjoyed the drive so much we wanted to leave a cache down
here to bring others down this road.
There are a couple of gates along the way, but there is no
indication when (or if) they are ever closed.
At the end of the road is a parking area and another access to
the Granger Wildlife Management Area.
WARNING: Please be aware that not only is
hiking and fishing allowed in the GWMA, but so is hunting. Please
remain aware and alert as to what is going on around you,
especially during the hunting seasons. It would probably be wise to
wear bright colors here, especially if you decide to hike into the
GWMA.
