Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small Sistema container with enough room for small swapsies and/or trackables.

Should be an easy find. No bush bashing required ... it is close to a path, so PLEASE RE-HIDE CAREFULLY.

Paths are unsealed and there's a bit of a hill climb, hence the terrain rating.

Clontarf Hill had been an unofficial rubbish tip for many years, but was adopted in the 1990s by a community group called the Friends of Clontarf Hill, who subsequently teamed up with the local primary school to coordinate the cleaning up and rehabilitation of the site.

Until a change of government in 2001, Clontarf Hill was in the path of the planned Fremantle Eastern Bypass ... a proposed 4-lane highway which would have seen parts of the hill blasted away and the loss of much of this reserve.

Depending on the direction from which you approach GZ, you might grab the cache before you reach the summit. If so, it is worth walking the extra few metres to take in the panoramic views ... from the Darling escarpment in the south-east, to Rottnest Island in the north-west and Cockburn Sound in the south-west, as well as Fremantle, South Fremantle and surrounding suburbs in the foreground.

I've left a couple of swapsies and some trackables.

*** FTF Prize: There is an unactivated TB tag in the bag with the log book ***
