Throughout the past several years, I have been privileged to watch
several authentic old-fashioned baseball games. One factor that
they all share in is this: that they all sing with great gusto the
song “Take me out to the ball game”!
For several months now I have wanted to hide a cache with the name
of “Take me out to the ball game”. Well now I have!
Several wonderful people have helped me much in this hide. Some
very good friends with a geocaching name that starts with
“batman” (I don’t remember the rest) kindly gave
me this cache container. Super_Nate recently archived a cache at
this location, and agreed to let me have this spot. Finally, my
father and Mountain-Lover Pilot came out with me to actually hide
this cache. Mountain-Lover Pilot actually found the location for
this cache!
So with all due credit given now, I would like to present to you my
very first ammo can cache. Yep, the kind that can hold all sorts of
fun swag! Feel free to trade what you want, I have even included
some balls and a few trackables to start this cache out. I doubt
that that many baseball games are played at this park, however,
I’m sure a few still occur. At those times you too can sing
with great gusto the song “Take me out to the ball
game”! Feel free to click on the below link and get in the
spirit of the song and sport, even if a game isn't being currently
played.
While this is not a super hard find, it is not super easy either.
Your best bet is to come from the park and hike up the hill into
the woods. Although I have included a pencil with the logbook, I'd
still recommend BYOP. Use stealth (as always!), and PLEASE replace
the cache as found. I have cammo'ed the cache very well and would
like it to stay that way. Have fun & happy caching!
