Accessible either north or southbound, as there is a crossover at the turn-off to the trail. High clearance vehicle recommended. You may get some pinstriping as the trail is slightly narrow in spots. Neat little camping spot near the cache. I didn't know this trail was here. I didn't travel any farther than the cache, so I don't know where it goes to. Interested to know if anyone follows it and finds out. Don't get poked when retrieving the cache! Watch out for snakes and such.
Take time to stop on the crossover to see a nice memorial for a fallen officer. I have been on this highway a million times and never knew it was here.
