Take a hike in Jack London and head towards the old orchard to find this cache!
This cache is near the Sonoma State Developmental Center orchard which is now located in Jack London State Park (the land was transferred in 2002). The orchard is about 100 years old and was supposedly run by the patients and staff. There are also rare varieties of apple, pears, apricots and other fruit trees in the 80-acre orchard that harken back to an era when the developmental center was expected to be self-sufficient and grew crops for its clients.
You can access this spot either by hiking up through Jack London or hiking up from the Developmental Center. Please note that the park is closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
