The Witcham Walkabout is a series of 23 caches ro be found on a circular walk of just over 6 miles based on the quiet village of Witcham., near Ely, Cambridgeshire.
The route follows mainly wide grassy tracks which during the winter months can be VERY, VERY wet, muddy and rough under foot. Walking boots or Wellies would be an advantage at these times! There are some lovely rural landscapes to be seen even though at no time does the route rise above 25 metres above sea level. On most days Ely Cathedral, The Ship of the Fens’ can be seen in the distance. The caches vary in shape and size and are placed so that some are more challenging than others. We recommend that tweezers and gloves are included in your caching kit. Please replace caches carefully and accurately. We hope you enjoy the walk. Happy Caching WE WELCOME LOG REPLACEMENT WHEN NECESSARY - THIS HELPS BOTH US AND OTHER CACHERS. PARKING is available at the given waypoint coordinates (Please do not block the gateway) or on the nearby roadside .
