In Church Wilne follow a footpath that crosses over the River Derwent to find this cache which is situated on a bridge.
The River Derwent is the longest river in Derbyshire, it starts in the Peak District and flows through the grounds of Chatsworth, onto Matlock, Derby city centre and joins up with the River Trent at Great Wilne.
Close by is St Chad’s Water nature reserve and St Chad’s church.
It could be difficult to get bikes and buggies onto and off the bridge.
Parking is a pull-in lay-by at the side of the river.
The cache is small and has room for only a log sheet. Please remember bring a pen to sign. Tweezers may also be helpful to retrieve the log.
It is possible to carry on to other caches in this series by walking up Wilne Road and cutting across Midshires Way footpath.
