Geocache Description:


Koganei Park is the second largest park in the Metropolitan Tokyo Area, having entrances in Koganei City, Kodaira City, Nishitokyo City, and Musashino City. Koganei Park is an attraction for local residents and tourists. The park opened in 1954 and covers 1,491,000 square meters. The numerous varieties of plum trees in the park bloom in February, and the Cherry trees in late March and April, providing a desirable setting for exercise enthusiasts, photographers, picnickers, and nature lovers. The park's Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, which opened in March 1993, features buildings characteristic to different historical periods and those built by famous Japanese architects. The buildings were moved from their original locations and arranged at the museum site to mimic the set up of a village. The park has playgrounds for children, soccer and baseball fields, a gym with a pool and an area for skateboarding, roller skating and a unicycle practice area. It also has a bicycle trail and a bicycle center where you can rent a bicycle.

小金井公園は、小金井市、小平市、西東京市、武蔵野市の入り口を持つ、首都圏で二番目に大きい公園です。小金井公園は、地元住民や観光客のアトラクションです。公園は、公園は1954年にオープンし、1491000平方メートルを拡がる。運動愛好家、写真家、ピクニック、そして自然を愛する人のための望ましい公園を提供する。2月の梅の木と3月、４月の桜の木が多く小金井公園の花見は大人気。
