This cache is located at the entrance to Leven and Burner's Beaches which is between The Pines and Pt Soutar on the beautiful Yorke Peninsula. The cache is a plastic container and has a log sheet, pen and swops. Please hide again as you found it.
On our way to Innes National Park for a few days holiday we visited friends of ours (4boys1girl)who were holidaying at nearby Pt Soutar. We loved the place straight away. After two nights camping, travelling and caching in Innes National Park we decided to come back up here to camp. We camped at a little camping area near Galway Bay but also discovered there was camping available at Burner's Beach (you will need a permit available from Pt Turton). From our camp site we were able to ride and walk along the beautiful Leven Beach to find the "Thanks for Leven me alone" cache and "Humphries Hill" cache ( a hike up the rocks and sand dunes!!!). Galway Bay and Pt Soutar, with their crystal clear waters were perfect for us to swim and to kayak. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing. As we wanted to share this place with others, we decided to hide a cache between the two other caches.
The cache has room for swops and we have placed two Aussie birds - a rosella and a kookaburra that we picked up from two other caches on the Yorke Peninsula and some shells and rocks we picked up from Leven Beach. In keeping with the theme we encourage swops of birds or shells and rocks from the beach.
Take some time to explore the area around here and perhaps have a walk or swim....
