Geocache Description:

The signtower in Pusztavacs was built onto the geometric center of Hungary. It's in the northern-east part of the village. The exact position of the tower is the crossingpoint of the diagonals of the rectangular marked out by the northermost, southermost, easternmost and westernmost coordinates of Hungary.

It's a pity that the signtower and the two sundials built on two concrete block were found damaged. The roof of the tower - originally built of larch - is completely missing. Also only the concrete blocks are left of the sundials.

The other sight of the village is the church built around 1400 in gothic style.

Pusztavacs can be reached from several directions. From highway M5 at the Orkény exit or from junction on road #4 in the town of Albertirsa. You can find the church in the center of the village, and the signtower one km northern from there. The cache is 190 meters away from the parking place at the signtower. It's a 30 cm diameter, 10 cm high plastic box. The cache-site is covered unusually, believe what your GPS shows. Box in a box!

We wish you a successful hunt,

Anikó and Miki
