Rest time over....it's back to WORK and that means it's time to exercise a bit more than just the muscles... Maybe a bit of imagination will be getting a workout if you get the hebbie-jebbies after dark. Ensure you eat some carrots for dinner as this workout needs to be completed at NIGHT. The first three Workout caches saw you being asked to get a sweat up. During round two however the emphasis will be on other things and for this workout you will be ambling around Urambi in the dark.
At the posted coordinates you WILL NOT find a marker, but from there shine your torch up-hill at a bearing of about 305° to locate the first RED marker. Do you see it? You will be following the markers from RED to WHITE to RED… and so forth. Some markers are around 80-100m apart, some are closer. The area is fairly open and a strong torch will be able to locate them without any trouble - focus-able beams will be your friend and are recommended. If you follow the pattern (red-white-red-white…) you will miss all fences and ditches that dot the area. There is NO need to cross a fence at any point other than at a gate.
When you find A RED AND A WHITE marker in the same place it signifies the END! Or at least you are very close to the end. There are not many hiding places for you to check and the cache is around **12m** from the final Red/White marker. From here enjoy the serenity… it won’t be disturbed by water-skiers (kudos if your log alludes to what I am talking about) just those cows maybe.
So to summarise:
Marker 1 at the posted coordinates = NOTHING TO FIND
Marker 2 uphill about 305° = RED
Marker 3 = WHITE ……. Marker 4 = RED Etc
Some very close, some about 100m when terrain is open Marker ? = RED AND WHITE in the same place and the cache is close by.
You will need:
GAITERS…. as there is a lot of long grass;
BOOTS…. as the area can be muddy if there has been rain;
TORCHES…. unless you have reflective x-ray beams that shoot out of your eyes!
Pay attention to your footing…. there are cows and roos and their droppings in abundance (plus a boo-book and some spiders) but there could be other things hidden in the grass so another good reason for those BOOTS.
