DDS 16: Trains, Garry Oaks & Red-Winged Blackbirds Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ohjoy!: Another container bites the dust. I checked today and figure someone had a better use for it.

The cache served a noble purpose when needed, and at this time just isn't worth replacing.

At least a train went by while I was checking it out.

Geocache Description:

This cache is one of the Dirty Dave Series. Dave hopes you will be able to find 29 caches on February 29. They are easy, involve only short walks, and have parking nearby. Dave doesn't believe in micros, but makes exceptions to that when necessary. Have fun.

"Where else can I be so close to so many wonderful things?"

Red-winged Blackbirds. These noisy creatures are the self-appointed guardians of the marsh. You might hear them sing out warnings as you approach, or maybe they will try to impress the lady birds with their melodious songs, or perhaps they will just try to out-sing the other males.

Garry Oaks. Have you ever seen a stand of Garry Oaks and know that is what you are looking at?

And... if the timing is right a train might come roaring by. Now that would be perfect!
