This cache will take you to Gibbet Hill, a peaceful country area between Perth and Devon Hills.
In 1836, the dead body of murderer John McKay hung from a tree by the roadside here - all part of his punishment for the murder of a local man Joseph Wilson. McKay's body stayed there for all to gaze upon with disgust and morbid curiosity, until a friend of McKay's begged for it to be cut down.
This barbaric act is called gibbeting (hence the name of the area) although it was most commonly carried out on Hunter Island (on Hobart's waterfront).
Please watch the traffic as you turn into Gibbet Hill Rise - the muggles on the highway are lunatics!
Cache is a small see through container with book, pencil and swaps. You will need to travel about 500m of dusty road, and go around two bends. Notice the speed limit sign along the third strait.
