The Shortcut Traditional Cache

This is a quick and pretty easy Cache-and-Dash located in Titchfield Common, near Fareham. The cache is reached off of a tarmac path connecting Primate Road and the A27 Southampton Road, enabling pedestrian access to the retail park located between the two. You’re looking for a medium-sized plastic container, and I have averaged out a set of co-ordinates to be as accurate as possible.
I have placed my first cache here to commemorate a moment of stupidity. The day that I first moved to the area I was thirteen years old and was sent to the well-known catalogue-based shop in said retail park to get some batteries. I’d seen it from the A27 and thought that was the only way to get to it – so I walked all along Primate Road to St. Margaret’s Roundabout, then up the A27 finally turning into the retail park. When, all along, was this little path that pretty much connected my house to where I needed to go. I ended up walking two miles more then I needed to that day, until our neighbour helpfully told us about the shortcut.
Parking is available in the retail park – from the A27 Southampton Road bear left into the retail park and take the first exit on the roundabout. Outside of business hours, you can park at the gates to a service yard which the path runs alongside, just after Kites Croft on Primate Road. Beware of muggles, as this is a popular cut-through for the nearby stores, cyclists and dog walkers.
Consider the nearby caches in Kites Croft, a Site of Specific Scientific Interest (SSSI), whilst you are here alongside Lambert’s Coppice opposite.
