Yes, that's right. Washington's Birthday and not "Presidents Day".
The Uniform Monday Holiday Act declared that Washington's Birthday be celebrated on the third Monday in February but did NOT create a Presidents Day, nor did it mention Lincoln's birthday at all. (One of the early drafts of the UMHA did just that, but it was changed in committee.)
The year this cache was placed (2012) would have been Washington's 280th birthday if he were still alive. (He probably would need a new set of false teeth by now.)
This cache brings you to Washington Square. Though this park could use some TLC and CITO, take a minute to walk to the other side of the park and enjoy/appreciate the Kirkpatrick Memorial Fountain, built in 1908. It is "a bronze drum-like sculpture that depicts three Onondagas introducing the salt springs to Father Le Moyne and his French compatriot in 1654" and was refurbished and rededicated in 2009.
