Geocache Description:

A 3.5 mile walk through the Alscot Estate. All the footpaths are well marked and this walk could be muddy at times. You will also walk on a very quiet country lane which is used by more horses than vehicles. There is plenty of room to park in the village of Preston-on-Stour and we recommend that you start with the multi-cache Alscot Amble - Yew

The Alscot Estate sits in 4000 acres of beautiful Warwickshire countryside, centered around the pretty village of Preston-on-Stour.
The estate has been in the West family for over 200 years, and is currently headed by Emma Holman-West.
The house itself is a wonderfully preserved Rococo Gothic style house and is surrounded by park land which is home to fallow deer, highland cattle and Jacob sheep. Unfortunately it is not usually open to the public.
There are some wonderful old trees in the grounds and that is why we’ve named this walk after trees!
There is one small incline to negotiate and one dog unfriendly stile
Please bring your own pen and tweezers might be helpful!
PLEASE DO NOT DO THESE CACHES AT NIGHT - YOU MIGHT DISTURB THE GAMEKEEPER!
