A nice easy drive by. Access is very easy and close to a quiet road with plenty of room to park.
This is our first cache so I hope everything is ok.
It's a small plastic cache with a logbook, pencil and a few treats which my daughter wanted to add.
It's named Phil and Bill after our fathers who sadly aren't with us anymore. Both of them liked a pint in their day so we decided to plant 2 cache's close to their favourite bars in honour of them.
This ones for Bill.
It is hidden at the edge of a sports field where he spent a fair bit of his time.
East Ayton is a quiet little village where I grew up and I played down here a lot as a kid. There is a small private bar next to the village hall at the opposite end of the field where my dad used to enjoy a cold one.
There is a good play area for the young ones and plenty of space to run about but I'm afraid no dogs are allowed and respect MUST be shown to the area as this field is also home to Ayton's cricket and football pitches.
It is a public area and all are welcome but just to be sure, I have obtained permission from the people who look after the pitches.
Enjoy your day and happy hunting :)
