A challenging cache hidden near a foot path in Saratoga
The North American Wild Turkey Meleagris gallopavo is very common in these part, and large rafters , erroneously called flocks, are often seen. There are big tom turkeys, smaller hen turkeys, and little poults (i.e., chicks), but rarely are turkeys as tiny as these seen at all.
Tiny Turkeys Meleagris ittibittiae are shy, quiet, and reclusive -- no doubt because they are "bite sized". A decon container makes a perfect hiding place protecting them from every predator but the most determined of geocachers.
There is street parking in the area.
Be gentle -- retrieving the cache requires finesse not strength.
