Geocache Description:

Steadman Pond is a part of the Hudson-Howard properties owned by the Berkshire Natural Resources Council (BNRC).

From the BNRC website:
This great assemblage of land was preserved through the generosity of the Howard and Hudson families, with an assist from the Monterey Preservation Land Trust and a several sizable investments by the Mass Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, which holds a conservation restriction over the entirety. An extensive woods road network over plateau and hillside is accessed via Tyringham, Brace or Royal Hemlock roads, but the property’s standout feature is Steadman Pond, a cool spot at the foot of a sloping meadow, guarded by the mass of Beartown Mountain.
