This cache has been archived.

eravau: This cache has had a good run… but as many times as it has been muggled… I think it's time to let this area rest. Thanks for all who went hunting for it!

Geocache Description:

This cache is in Poelker Park in St. Louis. This is the third in a series of caches commemorating Leap Day with a new cache being released in St. Louis every odd numbered day of "Leap Month" - February 2012 - but leaping over the even days. At the top of the log for each cache is a code number. In order to discover the location of the final Leap Day cache, which will leap out of the city and into west county, you will need to collect all of the preceding 14 codes. Good luck!

With fairly flat terrain, it shouldn't be difficult to walk to this cache's location and shouldn't take too long to find it once there. It's even flat enough as to be wheelchair accessible.

Besides this cache and a few trees for shade, this one-acre park includes a beautiful statue commemorating the work and sacrifice of firefighters.

Metered parking is available at meters along the road on all four sides of the park. Be mindful of muggles. Being the middle of downtown, there are usually people milling around and driving by.

Congrats to mta for the FTF!

Please adhere to all city park curfews out of respect for those who maintain the park and in order to maintain our good relationship with the park administrators and keep geocaching alive in St. Louis.
