This cache is place on one of the most unique trails in the United States a trail that connects two national landmarks at each end: the Delaware Water Gap and the Statue of Liberty. This is a 130 mile linear park that runs the width of New Jersey, showcasing its most interesting natural and historic heritage; a multi-use path that provides a cross-section of forest, rural, suburban, and urban life across the state
Six trail segments, each with its own distinct character...
Hudson River Waterfront Walkway - Liberty State Park, Jersey City
East Coast Greenway - Jersey City to Newark
Lenape Trail - Essex County
Patriots' Path - Morris County
Sussex Branch Trail - Sussex County
Paulinskill Valley Trail - Sussex & Warren Counties
The Paulinskill Valley Trail segment has recently been connected to Portland PA with the help of Rails to Trails, Knowlton Township and the DRJBC. With this recent opening we wanted to bring awareness to the new connector. This should be a quick C&D.
You can park either in Portland PA or Columbia NJ but please obey all posted parking signs.
