Counting on the Answer. Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

AirEd: Could not find any evidence of the cache in the tree I had hidden it in. So another for the history books. Thanks for all those who did struggle through the random text to the solution and who found the cache.

Geocache Description:

Counting On The Answer

The cache is not at the listed coordinates

Hidden in the text is the required data. Nothing is hidden in the source code. If you want to reveal the co-ordinates then correct layouts of the letters will be important. The cache is hidden in a little patch of park in South Birmingham. Counting on the Answer is the name of the cache. The FTF will have to have understood the question to be able to find co-ords that allow finding of the cache. When you have got out the co-ords it should not be too hard 4 you to find the hidden treasure. Some clue as to how to solve is given in the text. The difficulty of the cache is getting to where it is hidden not in finding it once on site. Organize to find the answer. The ° are as normal in this area you should be able to guess both of them at the least. The rest of the co-ordinates will be seen when the pattern is correctly laid out. The secret to solving the puzzle, or defeating the encryption is to include all the letters and printing characters in your analysis. Do not exclude anything a printer in the past would have had to take account. From getting the layout right all that u will have to do is pick the right place to view the hidden message and then go and see if the cache is where your coords put it. Parking should not create a difficulty. There are a lot of different bus stops on hand but train stations are a little father away, as are air or water transports. There are several caches not too far away the details of them it would be wrong to let you know as that would spoil the puzzle. There may be websites that can assist you with the problem in hand but I have not chosen to go down that path; so am unable to give any assistance with addresses ect.. For the cache to be dicovered you will be investigating an area that is near water over active children and animals need a careful adult closely watching. Feedback from puzzle solvers and cache finders wanted. Whenever I have placed puzzles I want to get an idea as to whether the enjoyment in solving them is worth the effort in the setting. I apologise for the rambeling notes in this description but it is necessary. Zeros that preface West degrees have been explicitly included. This could help in correct discovery of the required layout. Whoever is able to isolate the pattern shall be able to decrypt the message's kernel. Zephod Bettlebrox will not be of any use here as this is a different cypher. There are possible red herrings included so you go off down a few blind allies. In the cash there are the usual shinies for swaping. Obviously there is a logbook and crayon pencil or pen. I will provide FTF certificate to reward the speed, dedication & right ° of lateral thinking & of reading between the lines. I may do a FTSolve 1 as well. Finer points of grammar may be of help or it may be one of those fish that will be of no benfit for solving. If you find a part of the correct puzzle you may have to try the geochecker that is listed below this text, but it should not be necessary to. The co-ordinates will be obvious once the words have been assembled correctly. To reorder the information I have left out para. marks. This makes a less pleasing look. From any of the closer parking points a short walk of a couple of hundred meters should get you to the cache. The paths are hard in places but muddy in parts so wellies or boots after it rains would be wisest. Some where in The Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy you get an answer to Life the Universe and Everything, it is vital to decodeing all that is in red here and 2 go & find this cache in the SE of the city. Trees make the GPS rather flakey in this spot. Finally I hope that you enjoy the hunt inside for the co-ords and outside after a reveal has taken you to a place and the cache

Congratulations to adamandbeckychater on FTF - before the Certificate was in position!

GZ has changed and was a little busy when I came to replace the cache so I have relocated the cache to get the coordinates to the Northings -0.027 and to the Westings +0.29 The corrected coordinates can be found in the Geochecker as well.
