Celebrating Canada's 150th birthday, cache by cache, year by year.
February 14th - MTBs (Motor Torpedo Boats) 459, 461, 462, 465 and 466 lost to a fire while alongside at Ostend Belgium. 26 Canadians lost.
February 22nd - HMNCS TRENTONIAN (Flower Class Corvette) torpedoed and sunk by U1004 near Falmouth England...6 lost.
March 17th - HMCS GUYSBOROUGH (Bangor Class Minesweeper) torpedoed and sunk by U878 in the English Channel. 51 lost.
16 April - HMCS ESQUIMALT torpedoed and sunk by U190 near Halifax by U190. 44 lost. Although this Cache Owner never had the chance of meeting any survivors of the Esquimalt, he did get to meet and interview the Engineering Officer of the U190.
