Geocache Description:

Hang The Bloody Hose Here, Mate

Welcome to Kamikaze Cacher's second cache!

This is a nice little multi cache incorporating a short walk in a great park and a unique interesting spot that I stumbled across for the final. (One of those oh cool moments)

This cache begins off Mason St at the north entrance to Brickworks park. The land that the park sits on is land that was first used as a quarry around the time of settlement in the early 20th century, then it was used as the Shepparton Council depot for many years before it was abandoned. In 2000 the area was revegetated and Brickworks park was constructed. It was a joint project between The Goulburn Valley Environment Group and the City Of Greater Shepparton. The construction of the park was funded federally through an Olympic Landcare Project grant, an consists primarily of local Native plants.

This is a short three part multi that will take you for a short walk through the park then onto the cache, parking at the str nowhere to put pen so please BYO.

ONTO THE CACHE:

WP1

Standing at the above coordinates you will be able to see some bollards that are made out of 100% Recycled materials. To find WP2 you will need to do some simple math to calculate the coordinates

  • Number of bollards= AB

  • There are four letters on each bollard (They are all the same), Give each letter a corresponding numerical value i.e. A=1, B=2... Etc.

  • (The 3rd letter + the 4th letter) - A=C

  • The 1st letter - C=D

  • A+C=E

Waypoint two can be found at:

S36° 22.CDB

E145° 23.BDE

WP2

The coordinates for waypoint two should bring you to a structure that was built with definitely a fair amount of skill. Here you will be required to locate two words, using the same method as above, decipher the next set of coordinates for waypoint three. You might want to take a seat while you work out this one.

  • 2nd letter 2nd word - 5th letter in second word =F2
  • 4th letter 1st word = G9
  • 2nd letter 1st word - 7th 1st word=H0
  • 3rd letter 2nd word - 1st letter 2nd word= I8
    5th letter 2nd word - 3rd letter 2nd word= J1
