Church Micro 2404…Shoreham-by-Sea - St Giles Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

mattd2k: This one has gone missing and GZ is now compromised. As I don't pass through Shoreham as often as I used to maintenance is now an issue so I am archiving this one. Thanks to all those who have visited this cache.

Geocache Description:

Number 2439 in the series - Offington Methodist Church.

St Giles' Church was formerly the chapel of the local workhouse. Built to a design by Lacy W. Ridge in 1906, it became a public place of worship in 1934. The former workhouse is now Southlands Hospital.

The given coordinates will take you to the footpath outside of the church, from here you will need to use your caching prowess to find the necessary numbers to calculate the final coordinates.

In the central window, how many panes of glass are there horizontally on the bottom row? = A

There is a lampost to you left with a number on it = BC

On the wall to your right you will find a small yellow sign with three words on it (Now covered by some ivy, just lift it up!).
Count the letters in each word = DEF

In front of the yellow sign there is a small metal plate in the footpath.
How many letters are there on it? = G

The cache can be found a short distance away at:

N 50° 50.EBG W000° 15.(CXF)(D/C)(A+D+(G-F))

You are looking for a micro containing a log book only so please bring a pen with you.

This is a popular area at times so some stealth may be required!

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
