The Millennium Hedge, as its name suggests, was planted to celebrate the latest Millennium. With the passing of time the hedge has flourished and grown and is well worth a visit whatever the season.
The hedge looks at its very best in the autumn where the carefully selected choice of leaf shapes and colours gives a fabulous display.
There is still plenty to see at any time of year. Today (January) I saw a tiny bird's nest nestle in the branches as well as bright red berries and newly emerged spring catkins.
There is no pavement here and the road becomes very narrow with passing places. Whether driving or especially if walking, please take care along the road if you choose to appreciate and admire the hedge in its entirety.
